At First Mutual Holdings Limited, we believe that our greatest responsibility is to be a successful company and through success, we are able to contribute to society. Without this we know that we cannot make a difference. First Mutual Holdings Limited assisted various charitable institutions around Zimbabwe through a US$20 000 injection as part of its Corporate Social Investment thrust. First Mutual is a strong believer in contributing to community success through initiatives aimed at assisting the communities where it operates and believes in an integrative approach as it seeks to partner organizations that are relevant to society\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n

In selecting the recipients, First Mutual Holding Limited ascertained the roles they played in their respective communities, the impact they were making as well as the subsequent ripple effect to the social up-liftment of our country. \u201cAs First Mutual we believe that your organisations are playing a big role in enhancing the community across the broad spectrum of needs from old people\u2019s homes through to palliative care programmes, a feat for which we commend you\u201d said the group chief executive, Mr Douglas Hoto speaking at the handover ceremony. \u201cOur business of risk management, wealth creation and wealth management falls in the tertiary sector, and in order for this sector to be viable the primary and secondary sectors in our society must be functional and viable hence the focus on the communities within which we do business.<\/p>\n

Our initiatives are not only limited to community improvement assistance, but are targeted at improving the primary and secondary sectors of the society, and in that regard our focus is aligned to the Millennium Development where our \u001eefforts are targeted towards poverty and hunger eradication as well as education which fit in with the intention to create a viable primary and secondary sector as this comprises our future market\u201d he added. Mr Hoto also commended the recipients describing them as unsung heroes who quietly contribute to people\u2019s lives in a manner that cannot be quantified in dollar terms through restoration of people\u2019s dignity, which is often overlooked and yet is core to a human being\u2019s existence. The beneficiaries included Zimcare Tinokwirira, Tose Respite Care Home, Island Hospice, Children at Heart Foundation, Alpha Cottages Children\u2019s Home, Chikanga School, Rugare Old People\u2019s Home, Ralstein Home, Ekhuphumeleni and Training Institute.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
